MeucciTech OÜ, Tornimäe tn 5, 10145 Tallinn, Estonia, is the controller responsible for processing personal data on meucci.org and related Meucci services. You can contact us at info@meucci.org.

Data We Process

• Account data, including email address, authentication details, and profile information.
• Uploaded manuscripts, book metadata, generated audio, review comments, and quality assurance activity.
• Voice, listener, organization, project, and usage information needed to provide the service.
• Payment and billing records handled through Stripe. Meucci does not store full card numbers.
• Service communication records, including account, project, review, download, billing, security, and legal notice emails.
• Marketing signup data when you ask to receive updates from us.
• Technical data such as IP address, device/browser data, logs, cookies, and analytics events where permitted.

Purposes and Legal Bases

• Providing accounts, uploads, audio generation, downloads, dashboards, and support: contract performance.
• Sending account, project, review, download, billing, security, and legal notice emails: contract performance, legal obligations, and legitimate interests.
• Billing, tax records, fraud prevention, and security: contract performance, legal obligations, and legitimate interests.
• Human proof-listening and quality assurance: contract performance and legitimate interests in delivering the requested audio service.
• Analytics and optional tracking: consent where required.
• Marketing emails and waitlist updates: consent.
• Legal notices, claims, and compliance: legal obligations and legitimate interests.

AI Processing and Human Review

Meucci uses AI voice and text-to-speech technology to generate or process audio. Uploaded text, generated audio, snippets, and related metadata may be processed by AI providers and by human proof-listeners or quality assurance reviewers for the purpose of producing and improving your requested audiobook or audio project. Meucci does not use customer manuscripts to train foundation models, and we require relevant service providers not to use customer content for model training unless separately agreed.

Recipients and Processors

We may share data with service providers that help us operate Meucci, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in and analytics, Microsoft Clarity for analytics where consented, ElevenLabs and other audio/AI providers for text-to-speech processing, cloud storage and hosting providers, and human proof-listeners or contractors who support quality review. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our users, service, or legal rights.

International Transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, and other safeguards available under applicable data protection law.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Account, project, manuscript, and audio data are generally retained while your account or project is active, unless deletion is requested and no legal or contractual reason requires continued retention. Service communication records are retained as needed to operate the service, support your account, and document important notices. Billing, tax, security, and legal records may be retained for statutory limitation periods. Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.

We use essential cookies for authentication and site operation. We use analytics cookies only where you consent. You can manage your choice in the Cookie Policy.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, including the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

Children

Meucci is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
